WADAH ACTIVITIES
Wadah Titian Harapan Foundation launched the “Wadah Universal Education Initiative” (WUEI) at the “A Celebration of Life” event placed in the Raffles Hotel Bali, on August 19, 2023.
Wadah Foundation “Wadah”, in collaboration with Barefoot College International and the Nagekeo District Government, have organized a training program for 11 participants – 10 women ana 1 man from five villages spread over three sub-district in Nagekeo Regency, Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara.
Virtual inauguration of the seven (7) solar workshops in the said districts. Five (5) solar workshops are in Makipaket Village (Mbay II), Rendubutowe Village, Tedakisa Village, Tedamude Village and Pagomogo, Village in the District of Nagekeo; and two (2) are in Tasi Village and Talwai Village in the District of Alor.
The Monit Fe’u Preschool Building was inaugurated and officially turned over to the local government and villagers in Fatuliman, Koa. Due to the pandemic, however, the inauguration of the Monit Fe’u Preschool Building had to be done virtually.
Wadah International Committee (WIC) member Jane Hawkins spearheaded the fundraising activity dubbed as “The Bali Event.” The event aimed to raise funds for the construction of a preschool and community center at Fatuliman Hamlet in Koa Village, South Central Timor (Timor Tengah Selatan) at East Nusa Tenggara.
The 3rd Wadah Global Gathering, conducted on 22-23 March 2018, was about women leaders who had been working courageously and tirelessly to address the challenges confronting their societies, cultures and communities.
The REWIN program involves youth from various Wadah communities in the country with the aim of educating young people who have faith, have noble character, are firm and confident.
