About Wadah Foundation Trust

Ibu Anie Djojohadikusumo’s vision of spreading the WADAH message through her global family resulted in the creation of and the activities of WADAH FOUNDATION TRUST in India. It was formally established in 2016 in New Delhi.

So far the work of WADAH FOUNDATION TRUST has been supporting the work of established NGOs: 

Saksham (Limiting Limitations) 
an organisation which believes in empowering persons with blindness and other forms of visual impairment with a range of services needed to make them a part of social and economic mainstream. 

Udayan Care (Empathy, Education, Empowerment) 
a nurturing home with a mission to ensure quality care for orphaned and abandoned children, empowerment to young girls through education and employability of youth through technology and vocational training. WADAH is supporting Udayan, India, financially, to implement their already existing programs and new initiatives. The most important again is education and livelihood provision. 

Maiti India 
an organisation that works towards – protection, rescue and rehabilitation of survivors of trafficking. They initiate rescue programs and provide legal aid services to liberate children and women from exploitative situations. In 2015 after the devastating earthquake in Nepal, WADAH sent a truck load of medicines, tents, yoga mats, blankets, clothes and other relief material to Maiti for quake affected people in Nepal. 

One Human Family 
promotion of education of under privileged children. To educate the under-privileged children and to integrate them in to the main stream English education system and providing them with special English tutorials to make this transition simpler thereby enabling them to seek gainful employment.

Golden Shine 
Golden Shine Cultural Welfare Trust is an organization working towards the empowerment of persons with disability through Music. Their end goal is to create employment opportunities for the musicians with physical disability either as teachers or as professional artists.
